My Story

Why I’m Sharing This
I shouldn’t be here today. But because of God’s grace, I am. And I want you to know: no matter how far gone you feel, no matter what you’ve done or what’s been done to you — there is freedom through Christ. I can truly say that how God’s grace changed my life has become the foundation of everything I believe today.

How God’s grace changed my life.
A Rough Start
This is the story of how God’s grace changed my life. It’s a testimony of healing, redemption, and new purpose through Jesus Christ. I didn’t grow up in a loving home. My biological parents were addicted to alcohol and drugs. They didn’t protect or nurture us they abused us. My sister and I were beaten, abused, and neglected while our parents partied without being bothered. That was our normal. But even then, God had a plan.
He delivered us from that darkness and placed us in the care of my aunt and uncle. Who are christian’s and follow Jesus and for the first time, we saw what a home filled with love and faith looked like. Even though we were out of danger, I still carried the pain, anger, and hatred that had built up in me.
Running from God
Instead of healing, I hardened. I started drinking at a young age and it became my way of coping. As I got older, alcohol consumed my life. I drank heavily. I got into fights, wrecked cars, and picked up a couple of DWIs. I was angry at the world and felt like I had to prove something. I wore a chip on my shoulder every day.
The truth is, I was drowning. I blamed my past for all my failures. And eventually, I hit rock bottom.
The Lowest Point
About a year and a half ago, I found myself in the darkest moment of my life. I was drunk, slurring my words, angry at everything and everyone — especially myself. I had completely lost my sense of worth, and in a moment of despair, I tried to end it all.
But God wasn’t finished with me yet.
He used my wife, Jenny — who I thank God for every single day to speak life into me when I was ready to give up. Her love, her prayers, and her strength were part of God’s rescue plan.
The Turning Point
That moment broke me in a good way. I realized I couldn’t do life on my own anymore. I needed more than self-control or willpower — I needed Jesus. I turned to God not as a backup plan, but as my only hope. And everything changed.
The chains I had carried for decades began to break. I stopped drinking. I started healing. God’s grace didn’t just patch me up, it made me new. He filled me with His Spirit and gave me peace, direction, and a reason to wake up every morning.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17

Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
